It was just an ordinary day; Luke and Noah were just sitting in the kitchen on the farm eating breakfast before they had to leave for their lessons. This was the most romantic time the two of them had had for a while, as they couldn’t be near each other outside of the farm in case any one from the INS were to find out. Ameera hadn’t yet come down for breakfast and neither had anyone else, it was just Luke & Noah, and they were alone for the first time in a long time. There wasn’t anything special about the breakfast but being there, close to Noah made everything seem, sort of magical to Luke. They didn’t need to talk or for to even be a special occasion but just to be close to each other and remember all the good times that they’ve had together and everything they’ve been through made it all seem worth while.

Luke was staring into Noah’s eyes and Noah was staring back into his, their hands were touching and that closeness that they had been missing was there. Neither of them spoke a word, they didn’t need words to express their love for each other, their eyes said it all for them. Just as Luke was about to say something to Noah, the door from upstairs swung open and a clan of Snyders’ bound into the kitchen. Luke & Noah stopped staring and carried on with eating their breakfast, although their hands were still touching.

A few minutes after the rest of the Snyder family had come bounding down the stairs, Ameera entered the kitchen. “Morning Ameera,” called Luke from the kitchen table. “Morning, Luke. Morning, Noah,” nodded Ameera. “Did you sleep ok Ameera?” asked Noah. “Yes, thank you,” replied Ameera.

Just at that moment there was a knock at the kitchen door, Luke got up from the table and went to see who was calling round this early in the morning. “Oh, hey Casey,” said Luke with a flirtatious tone in his voice. “Hey, sweetie, how are you this morning?” joked Casey. “I’m good man, come on in,” replied Luke. “Casey, I didn’t expect to see you here this morning,” blushed Ameera. Noah and Luke both looked at each other, knowing that this plan of theirs’ might actually work out.

“I just thought I’d drop by to walk Luke to school,” replied Casey. “Does that mean your going to go along with the plan?” asked Luke, hoping to hear the answer he so desperately wanted. “Yes Luke, I’ll be your fake boyfriend, and I thought we’ve got to make it look convincing, don’t we and I thought that we could all walk to school together,” answered Casey. “Oh thank you Casey,” screamed Luke with excitement as he hugged Casey. Normally Casey would have told Luke to back off with all the hugging, but Casey knew that he might as well get used to it if they had any hope of pulling this off.

“So, are you ready to go?” enquired Casey. “Yeah, in a minute, why don’t you sit down here,” Luke said as he pulled out a chair at the kitchen table next to Ameera, “while I go and get my backpack from my room.” Luke disappeared upstairs, with Noah not far behind, while Casey and Ameera sat at the kitchen table talking and getting to know each other a bit better.

Up in Luke’s room, Luke was leaning over his bed to pick up his backpack, not knowing that Noah was slowly creeping up behind him. Just as Luke was about to get up Noah grabbed hold of Luke and made him jump. Luke knew just from the feel of Noah’s hands against his waist that it was him, Noah’s hands were soft yet strong and make every bone in Luke’s body quiver with excitement whenever they touched him. Luke turned and said, “Morning, handsome, ready for school?” Before Noah could answer, Luke had started gently kissing him on the lips, before he started moving down to Noah’s neck.

“Luke, no, not now, your family is right down stairs and we’ve got to go to school,” interrupted Noah. “Spoil sport,” replied Luke cheekily, still kissing Noah’s neck. “Luke, Luke, you know I love it when you do that, but now is not the time, look I promise you tonight we’ll do something special, but right now we’ve got to go to school,” replied Noah, who was now stammering slightly from the passionate kisses Luke was placing up and Down his neck.

Luke eventually stopped and he and Noah went back down stairs to the kitchen where Ameera and Casey were still sat talking. As Luke opened the door, Casey turned and said, “You took your time, come on we’re gonna be late.” “Sorry, Casey, we got,” Luke paused to look at Noah, “distracted.” “Guys shall we go,” Casey said hastily. Luke and Noah agreed and the four of them left the farm and started to walk to class, Noah had his arm around Ameera and Casey had his arm around Luke, after all Casey didn’t want people to think that he was letting Luke be ‘the guy’ in their ‘relationship’.

Having Casey there with them helped Luke to feel less like he was being left out, after all before he was like a third wheel in a relationship when they were out in public and now, even though it wasn’t real, he had someone to hold him and that’s all he wanted someone to hold him and someone to care for. That’s what he had with Noah, but now, even though he could still care for him, it wasn’t the same, Noah had to be seen holding Ameera now, not him and although it killed him inside, he knew that they were making these sacrifices for the right reason.
