“Luke can you believe that in two weeks you’re gonna be Mr. Noah Mayer?” asked Noah. “Don’t you mean you’re gonna be Mr. Luke Snyder,” Luke replied cheekily, “It’s a scary thought isn’t it, in two weeks time we’ll be married,” continued Luke. “And there’s still so much to do,” interrupted Emma.

“Hey Grandma,” Luke said to his Grandma. “So have you boys written your vows yet?” asked Emma. “Now that would be telling wouldn’t it,” laughed Noah. “Well, trust me, you don’t want to leave everything to the last minute because I remember when Lily and Holden got married, Holden left his vows to the last minute and then in the end he found it so hard that he just copied his vows from various lines from shows he had seen on TV, Lily was not impressed, according to Holden if he hadn’t of made it up to her in time Lily would have left for their honeymoon without him” reminisced Emma. “Yes, Grandma, we know, we can’t leave everything to the last minute” smiled Luke.

Noah’s phone started to ring and he stepped outside to answer it, after a few minutes he returned and said to Luke, “Listen honey, I’ve just got to and run a few errands.” Noah gave Luke a peck on the lips and then went and drove off in his truck, leaving Luke & his grandma to talk in the kitchen on the farm.

“So, are you boys excited about the wedding?” asked Emma, although she knew the answer already. “Yeah, we really are, after everything that has happened to us over the past 3 years with Noah’s dad and Ameera and the INS, it just feels good to finally be able to share our love with everyone,” replied Luke with a smile on his face. “I’m so glad you and Noah are finally doing this,” replied Emma, “and I’m looking forward to seeing my grandson marry the man of his dreams.” “You know what grandma, he really is, I mean I know that he’s the only guy I’ve been in a relationship with, but when I’m with him, I don’t want to be with anyone else, I just want him” “And he only wants you to sweetie, I know it.”

Lily and Holden walked in to the kitchen and joined Luke and Emma. “Hey Mom, hey Dad,” said Luke, who still had a smile on his face. “Hi sweetheart, no need to ask what your so happy about,” said Lily. Luke just carried on smiling. “So who’s going to be wearing the white dress then son,” Holden asked cheekily. “Dad I can’t believe you just said that,” “What, if you ask me it’s obvious that Noah’s the man in your relationship.” “Dad!” screeched Luke. “I don’t know Luke, I think you’d look quite good in a satin white wedding dress,” chimed in Lily. “Mom!” replied Luke. “So have the nerves started kicking in yet?” asked Lily. “I don’t think so, I’m just so excited that we’re finally going to be together, I mean yeah sure we’ve been together for 3 years now, but it’s just this way it’s official, he’ll be mine and I’ll be his, things couldn’t get any better,” answered Luke.

“Aww, that’s so sweet, I’m so happy, my little boy is all grown up and in love,” Lily said as she hugged her son. At that moment, Luke noticed Noah’s truck pull up and Lilly could tell that her son wanted some alone time with his fiancé, so Lilly, Holden and Emma all scurried upstairs to give Luke and Noah some time alone together. Luke then rushed to the door to give his dashing husband to be a passionate kiss. “What was that for?” Noah asked after the two broke off their kiss. “Do I need a reason to kiss my future husband?” asked Luke. “Of course not,” Noah said before he lent in and kissed Luke. “So where did you disappear off to in such a hurry?” Luke asked Noah.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Noah said with a hint of sarcasm in his voice. “You know what I’m talking about, one minute we’re stood here talking to my grandma, then the next you get a call and then disappear off into the night, I mean what’s going on Noah, your not cheating on me are you?” asked Luke cheekily. “You know I would never do that to you sweetie, especially not since we’re getting married in two weeks,” Noah replied with a serious tone. “Noah, relax, I’m just messing with you,” Luke said with that cheeky smile of his.

“Well, I think I can take the chance and tell you where I went,” Noah said with a deeply serious tone in his voice. “Noah, what, you know you can tell me anything, please, your scaring me.” Luke stammered. Noah reached into his sports bag and pulled out a carrier bag and handed it to Luke. “What’s this?” asked Luke, uncertain as to what he had just been handed. “It’s a symbol,” replied Noah. “A symbol of what Noah?” “Open it.” Luke just did as he was told and opened the bag and pulled out a long black case, Noah took the case out of Luke’s hands and then opened it. “Luke this is a symbol, a symbol of my love for you, it’s not much but it’s to show you how much you mean to me,” in his hands was a silver chain with the inscription, ‘Seeing you reminds me how much I care about you’. “That was I said to you, that day in the hospital after my father, you know,” “I remember and I was pushing you away and now, now I’m say glad you fought back, I don’t know what I would have done without you Noah,” replied Luke.

Noah told Luke to turn around and he did, once Luke had turned around; Noah placed the chain around Luke’s neck and fastened the clasp at the back. Luke took hold of the chain with one hand and then leant back and took hold of Noah with the other and he kissed him. “It’s brilliant Noah, I love it, but why the secrecy?” “I wanted it to be a surprise, I was going to wait until our wedding night, but I thought now was the right time,” “But, what was that phone call all about and why did you have to rush off so quickly?” “That was Casey on the phone; I asked him to collect the chain for me and he was calling to say it was ready for me to collect it” “Ah, so how was my ex then?” Luke said cheekily. “He was fine and so was my ex” replied Noah, with that the two laughed and then retired to their bedroom.

*One and a Half weeks later*

“Thank you so much for letting me stay here until me and Luke get married and the end of the week,” said Noah. “It’s no problem Noah, especially after all you did for me, it’s the least I can do” replied Ameera. “So are you and Casey happy together, Is he treating you right?” asked Noah. “Yes Noah, he’s wonderful and, if it wasn’t for you none of this would have been possible,” answered Ameera. “I’m so glad you and Casey are happy together, even though our marriage is over I still sort of feel responsible for you,” said Noah. “I like that; it makes me feel like I have family to look out for me again, I’ve missed that,”

*Back at the Farm*

“Luke, Luke,” called Natalie as she came running into the Kitchen from upstairs. “What is it Natalie?” answered Luke. “Luke, Luke, do you like my dress?” asked Natalie. “Wow, now are you trying to look better than me on my special day?” Luke asked cheekily as he picked Natalie up in his arms and spun her in the air. “So do you like it?” Natalie repeated. “I love it,” answered Luke as Lily entered the room. “Natalie, go upstairs and change before you ruin it,” said Lily. “But mom,” whined Natalie. “No, but mom’s, just do as your told and get changed,” ordered Lily. Natalie left the room in a strop and headed up the stairs to get changed.

“So, sweetie are you nervous, just a few days to go now,” reminded Lily. “Yeah, I just hope that Noah doesn’t get too scared, because you know when he gets scared he tends to run away and hide rather than face a situation and with this being such a big deal I’m just hoping he doesn’t freak out and avoid the ceremony.” “Oh, honey, I’m sure that Noah’s just as excited as you are to being getting married, and besides he’s with Casey and I’m sure he’ll make sure that Noah makes it to the wedding on time.” “Your right, I know, it just doesn’t seem real, I mean this time last year, Noah was still married to Ameera and we were all hiding our relationship so that the INS didn’t find out and now we’re getting married this weekend,” reminisced Luke.

*The Wedding Day*

“Faith, Natalie, Luke hurry up we’re gonna be late,” Holden shouted up the stairs. Luke was the first of the three to come down the stairs into the kitchen; he was all dressed up his wedding suit with his stripy purple tie and his matching waistcoat. Lily then spoke, with a tear in her eye, “Oh my god Luke, I’m so happy for you, you look amazing.” “Thanks mom,” replied Luke. “Good luck today son,” said Holden. Next Faith and Natalie both came down the stairs together in their matching dressed, which were lilac and they were both carrying small bouquets of flowers as they were to be Luke & Noah’s flower girls. “Wow, you really are trying to show me up aren’t you,” Luke said to Faith & Natalie, “Come here you two,” he held out his arms and hugged his two sisters. “Ok, come on, the groom can’t be late on his wedding day,” bellowed Holden. Holden and the girls left the kitchen and went out to the car. As Luke started to walk towards the door Lily stopped him and said, “Luke, I am so proud of you. You’ve had to go through so much over the last few years and finally everything’s looking up, I hope that you and Noah are very happy together and just remember, if he gives you any trouble you know where I am,” “Thanks mom,” chuckled Luke.

*At the Hotel*

At the hotel Noah was already waiting ready for the ceremony along with a few of the guests including, Ameera, Casey, Maddie, Henry, Vienna and Luke’s grandmother Lucinda, plus Luke’s very extended family. The Snyder’s pulled up in the car and they all got out. First Emma and Holden walked in with Faith and Natalie then in walked Luke with his mother. He saw Noah standing there waiting for him and if he had any doubts at all about this wedding that went away as soon as he saw his handsome young lover who in a few minutes was going to be his husband, forever and for always.

Lily and Holden had both agreed to walk the boys down the aisle, as Noah didn’t have any family to walk him down the aisle. They were ready, the music started playing and Faith and Natalie started walking down the aisle, scattering petals as they went. Then, Noah accompanied by Holden walked down the aisle. Finally Luke followed behind accompanied by his mother, Lily. The two stopped at the alter and the reverend began the ceremony. It was beautiful and had everyone in tears, even Holden.

Luke and Noah had decided to write their own vows.

Luke’s Vows:
Forever and always you’ll be in my heart,
Forever and always our love will not part,
Forever and always that’s all I can give,
Forever and always our bond will continue to live.
I loved you Noah, from the day I met you and that has never changed and it never will. Sure we’ve had our problems but we’ve come through them stronger. Forever and always Noah, I love you.

After Luke had read his vows Noah read his:
Some people may say its wrong, but I don’t care, I would move heaven and earth to be with you Luke and no matter what life throws at us I will be there by your side helping you through the bad times and enjoying the good times with you.

After they had said their vows the two exchanged rings and then they were pronounced husbands and the two kissed. Luke & Noah then led every one of the guests by leaving the ceremony and heading to the room in the hotel where the reception was being held. Luke and Noah had so much fun, they were in love and this day was all about them sharing their love for each other with all the people they cared for. This was a chance for them to start a new life together, just the two of them. They felt that they’d had their share of heartache to last a life time so now the future was looking bright.
