Luke and Noah now lived together in their own apartment, not that far away from Oakdale’s old town. They had been living together for over a year now and were both working at WOAK for Oakdale Now. Luke was working as a studio writer and Noah was the assistant director. They both had their dream jobs and they got to work side by side on the towns’ biggest TV show.

It was 9 o’clock on a Saturday morning, Luke and Noah were both still lying side by side in bed as they got the weekends off. They didn’t have anything special planned for the weekend so they didn’t see the point of leaving each others side in bed. Everything was so peaceful, when they heard the phone ringing downstairs. Noah began to get up to go and answer the phone when Luke turned to Noah and said, “Just leave it, they’ll leave a message.” The phone continued to ring.

“Luke, what if it’s important,” Noah replied as he continued to get up. Luke stared back at him with puppy dog eyes and normally Noah wouldn’t be able to resist those beautiful eyes but the phone continued to ring so Noah left Luke and headed down the stairs. Noah got to phone just in time as he picked it up and answered.

“Hello,” Noah answered.

“Good Morning, can I speak to a Mr. Noah Mayer please?” chimed up the caller on the other end of the telephone conversation.

“This is Noah Mayer, how can I help?” Noah replied as Luke came down the stairs.

“Good Morning, Mr. Mayer this Sally Rogers from the Oakdale department of Social Services. I’m calling regarding your application,” responded the caller before she continued, “We were wondering if you could and your partner, Mr. Snyder, could come down to our offices here on 13th Street later today.”

“Sure, is there a problem with our application?” asked Noah. When Luke heard Noah say this he felt like his whole world was collapsing beneath him.

“No there’s no problem Mr. Mayer, could you and your partner please come in this afternoon, about 1 o’clock,” answered the woman.

“Yeah, sure, we’ll be there,” replied Noah before he hung up the phone. At this time Luke was panicking, he had no idea what was going on, he was thinking the worse and trying his best not to break down crying. Noah could see that Luke was almost ready to break down into tears that he finally put Luke out of his misery and told him what the woman from Social services had said.

Luke was so relieved once he knew what the social worker had said, but neither of the boys knew why the women from social services had insisted that they go into to see her at such short notice. Sure they were expecting a call from social services, but not this soon. They had only put in their application a month ago, there was no way anything could happen this fast. They were told it would take months for their application to processed. The only thing they could think of was that they were going to be turned down, but the woman from Social services said there wasn’t a problem, but then again, maybe she just wanted to protect the boys and then reject their application in person. These thoughts were running through both boys minds for the rest of the morning.

It was almost 1 o’clock. Luke and Noah had both put on their suits, so that they showed they were serious about this, and they were headed to 13th Street in Noah’s truck. On the way the boys were silent in the truck, Noah held Luke’s hand while he was driving but apart from that there was no contact between the two of them during the whole journey.

Noah’s truck arrived on 13th street; it was five minutes to one. Noah pulled into the car park of the Social Services building and parked up. Once Noah had turned the engine off he turned to Luke and said, “You ready.” Luke simply nodded and they both climbed out of the truck. Noah pressed the buzzer and a woman’s voice was heard across the intercom, “Who is it?”

Noah promptly replied, “It’s Noah Mayer and Luke Snyder, we have an appointment.”

After a brief pause there was a loud buzz and the door released. Noah and Luke headed inside and were greeted by a short woman sitting at a desk. She had large round glasses and large, frizzy, blonde hair. She invited them to take a seat and told them “Ms. Rogers, will be with you shortly,” before she returned to typing on her computer. Luke and Noah weren’t waiting long in the small waiting room before a door opened and from inside appeared a tall woman wearing a distinctive black blazer and a matching knee length skirt. She saw Luke and Noah sitting and waiting and walked towards them. “Mr. Snyder, Mr. Mayer, I’m Sally Rogers, I spoke to you earlier today,” spoke the woman. Luke and Noah stood up and shook the woman’s hand and followed her into the office from which she had appeared from.

Ms. Rogers sat down behind her desk and Luke and Noah sat down opposite her, holding hands. “Now I’ve been looking at your application and,” before the woman could continue her cell phone began to ring, she looked down at it and said, “I’m sorry, I’ve got to take this, I won’t be long,” she answered her phone and headed out of the room.

Luke turned to face Noah and said, “God, Noah, she’s going to say we’ve been rejected, I just know it, why do they have to keep us waiting like this, why can’t they just put us out of our misery.” Luke was starting speaking so fast Noah could barely understand him. Noah placed both his hands on the sides of Luke’s face and looked him directly in the eyes while he spoke. “Luke, sweetie, calm down, you don’t know their going to reject us.”

Luke calmed his breathing back to a steady pace before the door opened and Ms. Rogers returned into the room and sat back down. “I’m sorry about that,” she spoke, “Now, where was I,” she paused to look at her files, “Oh yes, as I was saying, after looking over your files and the social workers reports,”

‘Oh, God’ Luke thought to himself.

“And I need to know if now would be an appropriate time,”

Luke and Noah looked at each other, “Appropriate time for what?” asked Noah.

“To take on a child,” finished Ms. Rogers.

Luke and Noah were shocked by what she had just said, that was the last thing they were expecting to hear, they were prepared for the worst, but not for this. Just then they both realized that they hadn’t answered in a couple of minutes. Luke then spoke up for the first time, “I’m sorry, we’re just so shocked by what you just said, it was the last thing we would have ever expected you to say.”

“So, are you ready then?” asked Ms. Rogers.

Luke turned to Noah and Noah simply nodded, Luke then turned to back to Ms. Rogers with a smile across his face and said, “Of course we are.”
“That’s excellent news, I’ve just got a few papers for you to sign and you can take him home this afternoon,” replied Ms. Rogers, she pulled out some sheets from her top draw and handed them and a pen to Luke and Noah. “I’ll leave you two here to sign the papers while I go and get Timmy ready for you,” Ms. Rogers left the room and Luke and Noah looked down at the papers she had placed in front of them. They were both in shock; they were getting a child, it was all happening so fast, they didn’t know what to expect when they were on their way and now they were getting what they both had wanted for so long, a family.

Luke was awoken from his slumber by a sudden shudder of ice on his forehead. When he opened his eyes he saw Noah hovering above him. “You did not just hit me with a snowball?” asked Luke. “What makes you think that?” Noah asked cheekily. “Well, the snow in my hair was a bit of a clue,” answered Luke with that amazing smile of his. “That doesn’t mean it was me,” said Noah still trying to act innocently. “Well I don’t see anyone else around here, do you?” asked Luke who had started to sit up in his bed.

“Even if it was me, what are you gonna do about it?” asked Noah still grinning from ear to ear. “Oh, I’ll show you what I’m gonna do about it,” replied Luke. Luke grabbed Noah and started to tickle him. Noah started laughing uncontrollably. Luke was winning, well at least that’s what he thought, Noah soon managed to wriggle his way free of Luke’s grasp and said, “Your gonna have to catch me first Snyder,” with that Noah ran out of the room just as Luke jumped out of bed and put on some warm clothing and then he quickly rushed down the stairs towards the kitchen of Snyder farm.

In the kitchen Faith and Natalie were sitting at the table, while Emma was washing some dishes in the kitchen sink. “You girls, haven’t seen Noah at all, have you?” Luke asked his sisters. “No, I don’t think so,” replied his sisters with a smile on their faces that showed that they were lying. “Oh, come on, I know he came down here but where did he go?” Luke asked again. “We promised Noah we wouldn’t say,” responded Faith. “Well who’s sisters are you supposed to be, mine or his?” asked Luke sarcastically. “Well, Noah is nicer to us,” Natalie said as if she was thinking about changing her brother in for Noah. “Hey, I’m nice,” rebutted Luke, “Grandma, have you seen Noah?”

“I don’t know if I’m aloud to tell you dear,” replied Emma. “Grandma, I’m your grandson surely you should side with me over my boyfriend,” responded Luke who was starting to get worked up. “Well, alright, but if Noah asks I didn’t tell you,” Emma paused, “I last saw Noah heading towards the barn.” “Thank you Grandma,” Luke then turned to his sisters and said, “I’ll deal with you two later,” Luke then turned and headed out towards the barn. Just as Luke reached the barn doors and he was about to head inside he suddenly felt a snowball hit him on the back of his neck causing a trickle of ice to slip down his back.

Luke turned to see his boyfriend poised with another snowball in his hand. “Oh so that’s how your gonna play it then is it?” Luke said to Noah cheekily as he reached for the snow to make a snowball of his own, “This means war Mayer,” Luke quickly said as he through a snowball in Noah’s direction. Noah dodged the snowball and responded, “You’re going down Snyder,” as he through his snowball at Luke narrowly missing the side of his head. The two of them were outside for at least ten minutes volleying snowballs back and forth. Luke disappeared inside the barn to take cover, Noah kept throwing balls at the barn doors for a few minutes and then he headed round to the back of the barn.

Luke began to wonder, had Noah stopped, was the battle over, Luke pushed to the door open slightly and peered round to see that Noah had gone, but where? ‘Where had Noah gone?’ thought Luke. Just then, smack, Luke was hit from behind with another snowball. He turned and saw it was Noah. “Hey, now that wasn’t fair, I wasn’t ready,” Luke said with a sad but cheeky expression on his face. “Aww, I’m sorry baby, come here, I’ll make things better,” replied Noah as the two of them started walking closer to each other. Noah took Luke in his arms and started to kiss his neck on the spot where he had hit him with a snowball. Luke loved every minute of it, he was with his man they were together and they were in love.

They completely forgot about everything else in the world, it was just the two of them, holding each other, they started to passionately kiss, right there in the barn, not caring that anyone could walk in on them at any time.

It was just an ordinary day; Luke and Noah were just sitting in the kitchen on the farm eating breakfast before they had to leave for their lessons. This was the most romantic time the two of them had had for a while, as they couldn’t be near each other outside of the farm in case any one from the INS were to find out. Ameera hadn’t yet come down for breakfast and neither had anyone else, it was just Luke & Noah, and they were alone for the first time in a long time. There wasn’t anything special about the breakfast but being there, close to Noah made everything seem, sort of magical to Luke. They didn’t need to talk or for to even be a special occasion but just to be close to each other and remember all the good times that they’ve had together and everything they’ve been through made it all seem worth while.

Luke was staring into Noah’s eyes and Noah was staring back into his, their hands were touching and that closeness that they had been missing was there. Neither of them spoke a word, they didn’t need words to express their love for each other, their eyes said it all for them. Just as Luke was about to say something to Noah, the door from upstairs swung open and a clan of Snyders’ bound into the kitchen. Luke & Noah stopped staring and carried on with eating their breakfast, although their hands were still touching.

A few minutes after the rest of the Snyder family had come bounding down the stairs, Ameera entered the kitchen. “Morning Ameera,” called Luke from the kitchen table. “Morning, Luke. Morning, Noah,” nodded Ameera. “Did you sleep ok Ameera?” asked Noah. “Yes, thank you,” replied Ameera.

Just at that moment there was a knock at the kitchen door, Luke got up from the table and went to see who was calling round this early in the morning. “Oh, hey Casey,” said Luke with a flirtatious tone in his voice. “Hey, sweetie, how are you this morning?” joked Casey. “I’m good man, come on in,” replied Luke. “Casey, I didn’t expect to see you here this morning,” blushed Ameera. Noah and Luke both looked at each other, knowing that this plan of theirs’ might actually work out.

“I just thought I’d drop by to walk Luke to school,” replied Casey. “Does that mean your going to go along with the plan?” asked Luke, hoping to hear the answer he so desperately wanted. “Yes Luke, I’ll be your fake boyfriend, and I thought we’ve got to make it look convincing, don’t we and I thought that we could all walk to school together,” answered Casey. “Oh thank you Casey,” screamed Luke with excitement as he hugged Casey. Normally Casey would have told Luke to back off with all the hugging, but Casey knew that he might as well get used to it if they had any hope of pulling this off.

“So, are you ready to go?” enquired Casey. “Yeah, in a minute, why don’t you sit down here,” Luke said as he pulled out a chair at the kitchen table next to Ameera, “while I go and get my backpack from my room.” Luke disappeared upstairs, with Noah not far behind, while Casey and Ameera sat at the kitchen table talking and getting to know each other a bit better.

Up in Luke’s room, Luke was leaning over his bed to pick up his backpack, not knowing that Noah was slowly creeping up behind him. Just as Luke was about to get up Noah grabbed hold of Luke and made him jump. Luke knew just from the feel of Noah’s hands against his waist that it was him, Noah’s hands were soft yet strong and make every bone in Luke’s body quiver with excitement whenever they touched him. Luke turned and said, “Morning, handsome, ready for school?” Before Noah could answer, Luke had started gently kissing him on the lips, before he started moving down to Noah’s neck.

“Luke, no, not now, your family is right down stairs and we’ve got to go to school,” interrupted Noah. “Spoil sport,” replied Luke cheekily, still kissing Noah’s neck. “Luke, Luke, you know I love it when you do that, but now is not the time, look I promise you tonight we’ll do something special, but right now we’ve got to go to school,” replied Noah, who was now stammering slightly from the passionate kisses Luke was placing up and Down his neck.

Luke eventually stopped and he and Noah went back down stairs to the kitchen where Ameera and Casey were still sat talking. As Luke opened the door, Casey turned and said, “You took your time, come on we’re gonna be late.” “Sorry, Casey, we got,” Luke paused to look at Noah, “distracted.” “Guys shall we go,” Casey said hastily. Luke and Noah agreed and the four of them left the farm and started to walk to class, Noah had his arm around Ameera and Casey had his arm around Luke, after all Casey didn’t want people to think that he was letting Luke be ‘the guy’ in their ‘relationship’.

Having Casey there with them helped Luke to feel less like he was being left out, after all before he was like a third wheel in a relationship when they were out in public and now, even though it wasn’t real, he had someone to hold him and that’s all he wanted someone to hold him and someone to care for. That’s what he had with Noah, but now, even though he could still care for him, it wasn’t the same, Noah had to be seen holding Ameera now, not him and although it killed him inside, he knew that they were making these sacrifices for the right reason.

“Luke can you believe that in two weeks you’re gonna be Mr. Noah Mayer?” asked Noah. “Don’t you mean you’re gonna be Mr. Luke Snyder,” Luke replied cheekily, “It’s a scary thought isn’t it, in two weeks time we’ll be married,” continued Luke. “And there’s still so much to do,” interrupted Emma.

“Hey Grandma,” Luke said to his Grandma. “So have you boys written your vows yet?” asked Emma. “Now that would be telling wouldn’t it,” laughed Noah. “Well, trust me, you don’t want to leave everything to the last minute because I remember when Lily and Holden got married, Holden left his vows to the last minute and then in the end he found it so hard that he just copied his vows from various lines from shows he had seen on TV, Lily was not impressed, according to Holden if he hadn’t of made it up to her in time Lily would have left for their honeymoon without him” reminisced Emma. “Yes, Grandma, we know, we can’t leave everything to the last minute” smiled Luke.

Noah’s phone started to ring and he stepped outside to answer it, after a few minutes he returned and said to Luke, “Listen honey, I’ve just got to and run a few errands.” Noah gave Luke a peck on the lips and then went and drove off in his truck, leaving Luke & his grandma to talk in the kitchen on the farm.

“So, are you boys excited about the wedding?” asked Emma, although she knew the answer already. “Yeah, we really are, after everything that has happened to us over the past 3 years with Noah’s dad and Ameera and the INS, it just feels good to finally be able to share our love with everyone,” replied Luke with a smile on his face. “I’m so glad you and Noah are finally doing this,” replied Emma, “and I’m looking forward to seeing my grandson marry the man of his dreams.” “You know what grandma, he really is, I mean I know that he’s the only guy I’ve been in a relationship with, but when I’m with him, I don’t want to be with anyone else, I just want him” “And he only wants you to sweetie, I know it.”

Lily and Holden walked in to the kitchen and joined Luke and Emma. “Hey Mom, hey Dad,” said Luke, who still had a smile on his face. “Hi sweetheart, no need to ask what your so happy about,” said Lily. Luke just carried on smiling. “So who’s going to be wearing the white dress then son,” Holden asked cheekily. “Dad I can’t believe you just said that,” “What, if you ask me it’s obvious that Noah’s the man in your relationship.” “Dad!” screeched Luke. “I don’t know Luke, I think you’d look quite good in a satin white wedding dress,” chimed in Lily. “Mom!” replied Luke. “So have the nerves started kicking in yet?” asked Lily. “I don’t think so, I’m just so excited that we’re finally going to be together, I mean yeah sure we’ve been together for 3 years now, but it’s just this way it’s official, he’ll be mine and I’ll be his, things couldn’t get any better,” answered Luke.

“Aww, that’s so sweet, I’m so happy, my little boy is all grown up and in love,” Lily said as she hugged her son. At that moment, Luke noticed Noah’s truck pull up and Lilly could tell that her son wanted some alone time with his fiancé, so Lilly, Holden and Emma all scurried upstairs to give Luke and Noah some time alone together. Luke then rushed to the door to give his dashing husband to be a passionate kiss. “What was that for?” Noah asked after the two broke off their kiss. “Do I need a reason to kiss my future husband?” asked Luke. “Of course not,” Noah said before he lent in and kissed Luke. “So where did you disappear off to in such a hurry?” Luke asked Noah.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Noah said with a hint of sarcasm in his voice. “You know what I’m talking about, one minute we’re stood here talking to my grandma, then the next you get a call and then disappear off into the night, I mean what’s going on Noah, your not cheating on me are you?” asked Luke cheekily. “You know I would never do that to you sweetie, especially not since we’re getting married in two weeks,” Noah replied with a serious tone. “Noah, relax, I’m just messing with you,” Luke said with that cheeky smile of his.

“Well, I think I can take the chance and tell you where I went,” Noah said with a deeply serious tone in his voice. “Noah, what, you know you can tell me anything, please, your scaring me.” Luke stammered. Noah reached into his sports bag and pulled out a carrier bag and handed it to Luke. “What’s this?” asked Luke, uncertain as to what he had just been handed. “It’s a symbol,” replied Noah. “A symbol of what Noah?” “Open it.” Luke just did as he was told and opened the bag and pulled out a long black case, Noah took the case out of Luke’s hands and then opened it. “Luke this is a symbol, a symbol of my love for you, it’s not much but it’s to show you how much you mean to me,” in his hands was a silver chain with the inscription, ‘Seeing you reminds me how much I care about you’. “That was I said to you, that day in the hospital after my father, you know,” “I remember and I was pushing you away and now, now I’m say glad you fought back, I don’t know what I would have done without you Noah,” replied Luke.

Noah told Luke to turn around and he did, once Luke had turned around; Noah placed the chain around Luke’s neck and fastened the clasp at the back. Luke took hold of the chain with one hand and then leant back and took hold of Noah with the other and he kissed him. “It’s brilliant Noah, I love it, but why the secrecy?” “I wanted it to be a surprise, I was going to wait until our wedding night, but I thought now was the right time,” “But, what was that phone call all about and why did you have to rush off so quickly?” “That was Casey on the phone; I asked him to collect the chain for me and he was calling to say it was ready for me to collect it” “Ah, so how was my ex then?” Luke said cheekily. “He was fine and so was my ex” replied Noah, with that the two laughed and then retired to their bedroom.

*One and a Half weeks later*

“Thank you so much for letting me stay here until me and Luke get married and the end of the week,” said Noah. “It’s no problem Noah, especially after all you did for me, it’s the least I can do” replied Ameera. “So are you and Casey happy together, Is he treating you right?” asked Noah. “Yes Noah, he’s wonderful and, if it wasn’t for you none of this would have been possible,” answered Ameera. “I’m so glad you and Casey are happy together, even though our marriage is over I still sort of feel responsible for you,” said Noah. “I like that; it makes me feel like I have family to look out for me again, I’ve missed that,”

*Back at the Farm*

“Luke, Luke,” called Natalie as she came running into the Kitchen from upstairs. “What is it Natalie?” answered Luke. “Luke, Luke, do you like my dress?” asked Natalie. “Wow, now are you trying to look better than me on my special day?” Luke asked cheekily as he picked Natalie up in his arms and spun her in the air. “So do you like it?” Natalie repeated. “I love it,” answered Luke as Lily entered the room. “Natalie, go upstairs and change before you ruin it,” said Lily. “But mom,” whined Natalie. “No, but mom’s, just do as your told and get changed,” ordered Lily. Natalie left the room in a strop and headed up the stairs to get changed.

“So, sweetie are you nervous, just a few days to go now,” reminded Lily. “Yeah, I just hope that Noah doesn’t get too scared, because you know when he gets scared he tends to run away and hide rather than face a situation and with this being such a big deal I’m just hoping he doesn’t freak out and avoid the ceremony.” “Oh, honey, I’m sure that Noah’s just as excited as you are to being getting married, and besides he’s with Casey and I’m sure he’ll make sure that Noah makes it to the wedding on time.” “Your right, I know, it just doesn’t seem real, I mean this time last year, Noah was still married to Ameera and we were all hiding our relationship so that the INS didn’t find out and now we’re getting married this weekend,” reminisced Luke.

*The Wedding Day*

“Faith, Natalie, Luke hurry up we’re gonna be late,” Holden shouted up the stairs. Luke was the first of the three to come down the stairs into the kitchen; he was all dressed up his wedding suit with his stripy purple tie and his matching waistcoat. Lily then spoke, with a tear in her eye, “Oh my god Luke, I’m so happy for you, you look amazing.” “Thanks mom,” replied Luke. “Good luck today son,” said Holden. Next Faith and Natalie both came down the stairs together in their matching dressed, which were lilac and they were both carrying small bouquets of flowers as they were to be Luke & Noah’s flower girls. “Wow, you really are trying to show me up aren’t you,” Luke said to Faith & Natalie, “Come here you two,” he held out his arms and hugged his two sisters. “Ok, come on, the groom can’t be late on his wedding day,” bellowed Holden. Holden and the girls left the kitchen and went out to the car. As Luke started to walk towards the door Lily stopped him and said, “Luke, I am so proud of you. You’ve had to go through so much over the last few years and finally everything’s looking up, I hope that you and Noah are very happy together and just remember, if he gives you any trouble you know where I am,” “Thanks mom,” chuckled Luke.

*At the Hotel*

At the hotel Noah was already waiting ready for the ceremony along with a few of the guests including, Ameera, Casey, Maddie, Henry, Vienna and Luke’s grandmother Lucinda, plus Luke’s very extended family. The Snyder’s pulled up in the car and they all got out. First Emma and Holden walked in with Faith and Natalie then in walked Luke with his mother. He saw Noah standing there waiting for him and if he had any doubts at all about this wedding that went away as soon as he saw his handsome young lover who in a few minutes was going to be his husband, forever and for always.

Lily and Holden had both agreed to walk the boys down the aisle, as Noah didn’t have any family to walk him down the aisle. They were ready, the music started playing and Faith and Natalie started walking down the aisle, scattering petals as they went. Then, Noah accompanied by Holden walked down the aisle. Finally Luke followed behind accompanied by his mother, Lily. The two stopped at the alter and the reverend began the ceremony. It was beautiful and had everyone in tears, even Holden.

Luke and Noah had decided to write their own vows.

Luke’s Vows:
Forever and always you’ll be in my heart,
Forever and always our love will not part,
Forever and always that’s all I can give,
Forever and always our bond will continue to live.
I loved you Noah, from the day I met you and that has never changed and it never will. Sure we’ve had our problems but we’ve come through them stronger. Forever and always Noah, I love you.

After Luke had read his vows Noah read his:
Some people may say its wrong, but I don’t care, I would move heaven and earth to be with you Luke and no matter what life throws at us I will be there by your side helping you through the bad times and enjoying the good times with you.

After they had said their vows the two exchanged rings and then they were pronounced husbands and the two kissed. Luke & Noah then led every one of the guests by leaving the ceremony and heading to the room in the hotel where the reception was being held. Luke and Noah had so much fun, they were in love and this day was all about them sharing their love for each other with all the people they cared for. This was a chance for them to start a new life together, just the two of them. They felt that they’d had their share of heartache to last a life time so now the future was looking bright.

Luke was getting ready at home for the best New Year ever. Sure, last year he got to spend New Year with Noah, but he was still using his cane after the incident with Noah’s father. Luke was so excited, he and Noah were back together again, they were happier than they had been for a long time, and he was going to be spending his New Year with the man he loved so much. The man he wanted to be with forever. Luke was getting ready upstairs in his room at the Snyder family home when there was a ring at the door. Luke rushed down the stairs to answer it, he knew it would be Noah and he couldn’t wait to see him. Luke opened the door, after almost tripping down the stairs, and sure enough there was Noah, standing there holding in his hands a single red rose.

Arm outstretched in front of him, Noah spoke, “Here, I got this for you, I thought, being as this was our first date since we got together again that I should bring you something.”

Luke blushed, taking the rose from Noah’s hands he replied, “Oh, Noah that’s so sweet of you,” Luke placed the rose on the side and just as they were about to leave, behind them came the voice of Luke’s parents.

“Hi, Noah, we’re so glad things between you and Luke are getting back on track,” Lilly said, “aren’t we Holden,” she continued, patting Holden.

“Yes, we are, it’s good to see you again Noah,” Holden said stretching out his hand to shake Noah’s.

Noah reached out to shake Holden’s outstretched palm, but before he had time to say anything in response Luke chimed in, “Anyway, we better be going, we’re meeting Maddie and Casey outside Metro, so night Mum, night Dad.” Luke ushered Noah out of the house barely giving him time to say goodbye to Luke’s parents.

“Luke, that was a bit rude, besides I’m sure Maddie and Casey won’t mind if we’re late, they’ll understand,”

“I know, but I just wanted you all to myself, I’m sorry,” Luke said with that adorable tone that Noah just couldn’t resist.

Noah lightly kissed Luke’s lips, and they both got into Noah’s truck. They chatted as Noah drove them into Old Town, but not about anything in particular, just stuff like the weather, work and what was on the radio.

As they parked up Noah turned to Luke and said, “You know that I love you, don’t you Luke,”

“Of Course I do Noah, I love you too,”

“No, Luke I mean I really Love you; I can’t stand when I’m not with you, these last few months have been hell,”

“Me too Noah, but we’re together now, that’s all that matters,”

Luke could tell that there was something else that Noah wanted to say, but he knew that Noah would say it when he was ready. That was the beauty of Noah, Luke knew that while he didn’t always say everything he was thinking straight away, when he said it, it was always so beautiful and romantic.

Noah got out of the truck, and just as he did last year, came round, and opened the door for Luke, like a proper gentleman. He held out his hand as an aid for Luke to step down from the truck and Luke took it. As he stepped down, Luke made sure he lost his balance, causing him to fall into Noah’s arms. Noah caught him and they were face to face in each other’s arms. Noah and Luke were kissing until they were interrupted by a cough from behind them. They’d been caught and they knew it, they stopped kissing and turned to see Maddie and Casey standing there.

“Hey guys,” Noah said embarrassed that his ex-girlfriend had just caught him making out with the man that he left her for.

“Hey, if you want, we can leave you two alone if you want some privacy,” Casey said jokily.

Luke and Noah laughed off the embarrassment of being caught and Noah locked up the truck and the four of them headed to Metro. The club was packed. Henry had booked the best DJ in town, and it seemed as though everyone from town had turned out to celebrate the New Year in style. The drinks were flowing, people were dancing, and the place was more alive than ever before.

Lots of other students from Oakdale U were there enjoying themselves, drinking, dancing, and having fun. Although thankfully not Kevin and his mates. They were the only thing that could possibly ruin the night, by being a constant reminder of what Luke and Casey did, and that was one thing Luke defiantly didn’t want. After all, he and Noah had only just gotten things sorted after the events that followed the election, if Kevin was to show his face now, it could end up ruining everything. Thankfully, Kevin was nowhere to be seen, perhaps thinking that the coolest party in town was beneath him.

The three guys took it in turns to get the drinks in, with no-one drinking alcohol, seeing as both Noah and Casey would be driving and Luke being back on the wagon again, while Maddie just didn’t want to be the only one drinking that night. It was getting closer to midnight and the DJ started playing some romantic slow songs for all the couples to dance to. Both Luke & Noah and Maddie & Casey took to the floor and danced alongside the rest of the couples that were there. While they were dancing, almost in unison, Maddie rested her head on Casey’s shoulder just as Luke rested his on Noah’s. Noah was thinking how weird it was that everything was normal and that nothing was at all awkward between the 4 of them. It was the perfected ending to the perfect night.

—–BUT YOU DON’T WANT ME TO END IT THERE—–

The countdown to midnight began.

“I Love You Luke,” Noah shouted so that he could be heard over the crowd.

“I Love You Too Noah,” Luke replied also trying to battle with the noise of the countdown.

“HAPPY NEW YEAR!” screamed the cacophony of voices in the club. Luke and Noah shared a romantic New Year’s kiss, as did all the couples that were in the club. There was no one thinking it was unusual for two guys to be together, no awkwardness about it, everyone was just enjoying themselves and having a good time, just as New Year’s should be.

The night quickly started to wind down after that, people started getting their coats and making their ways home. Luke and Noah said their goodbyes to Maddie & Casey and made their way back to Noah’s truck. They both climbed inside to get in from the freezing temperatures outside that stuck them when they left the warmth of the club. Once the doors were shut, Noah started up the heater to warm them both up.

Noah started the engine and then turned to Luke and asked, “So, where can I take you sir?”

“Well, I was thinking,” Luke paused, “my family have all gone to the farm for the night and won’t be back until tomorrow and Brian and my Grandma are spending the night at the Lakeview together, so my place is empty. Maybe you’d like to come back with me?” replied Luke slightly nervous at the thought of what Noah might say.

“Your place it is then,” Noah replied as he put the truck into drive and headed to the Snyder house. They didn’t talk much during their drive, but it wasn’t an uncomfortable silence at all, it was just peaceful and calm. Besides the cold air was still reaching their skin despite the best efforts of the heater, so it was better to conserve the heat by not talking. Noah pulled up in front of the Snyder house and both he and Luke quickly headed inside to get in from the cold.

As soon as Luke closed the door behind him, Noah grabbed hold of him and started kissing him. He was almost like an animal, neither of them had taken off their coats and yet here they were passionately kissing in the lounge of the Snyder family home. While they were kissing Noah started to unfasten the buttons on Luke’s coat so that he could slide it off his shoulders and let it drop onto the floor below. Luke followed Noah’s lead and did the same to Noah. Both their coats were now on the floor, and they made their way towards the sofa, without breaking the embrace between them.

They collapsed into each other’s arms on the sofa, still kissing, still fondling each other’s bodies. Frantic due to the lack of contact between them in their time together. The two were both enjoying the embrace so much that they didn’t want to stop, neither one of them wanted this moment of animal magnetism to end. But Luke suddenly pulled away, although he was usually the one to act first, think later, with Noah being the one to always carefully plan things out before they happened, Luke suddenly realised that they couldn’t be found on the Sofa, not doing what they were doing. What if they fell asleep and Luke’s family were to return before they woke up, that could be terrible.

Luke stood and simply said to a confused looking Noah “Come with me,” with his hand out-stretched. Noah took Luke’s hand and Luke led him up the stairs to Luke’s bedroom just as couples do in those romantic old movies. They got to Luke’s bedroom and again, just as the door was closed, this time it was Luke’s turn to be in control. They were once again kissing, unbuttoning each other’s shirts, and letting them fall to the floor just as before. There was nothing to stop them from being together, no Kevin, no Maddie and no Ameera. Nothing to hold them back from finally being a proper couple and doing what all proper couples do.

Luke grabbed Noah and pulled him down onto the bed with him. Luke was on top of Noah, they were kissing each other and then Noah turned the tables on Luke and flipped him over so that he was no longer on top. Noah had Luke pinned down, but Luke didn’t care. He had his man, his wonderful, beautiful man, and he was happy. He’d never been happier. Noah grabbed hold of Luke’s belt and with one hand and began to undo it while with the other hand he was running his fingers through his boyfriend’s luscious locks of blonde hair. All the while still caressing his lips with his own.

Noah removed the belt in with move and threw it down beside the bed. This was it; there was no turning back now. Luke and Noah were finally going to have their first time together. It was going to be passionate, intimate, and feisty all at the same time. Noah broke his contact with Luke’s lips and started kissing his way down Luke’s bare chest, working each of his nipples with his tongue and softly kissing them. After spending a few minutes working each of Luke’s nipples Noah started heading lower. He got to Luke’s waistband, and he then went back up to Luke’s lips and started kissing him again before he tenderly kissed his way back down Luke’s chest once again.

This time when Noah got to Luke’s waistband, he removed Luke’s jeans and threw them to the ground beside the bed. Luke was now lying on the bed wearing just his boxers, with Noah straddling his chest, still fully clothed from the waist down. Luke then pulled Noah in for another kiss, before flipping him so he was on top, straddling Noah. Luke did just as Noah had done before, he caressed every part of Noah’s chest using his tongue, kissing and licking his way down Noah’s torso. Luke removed Noah’s jeans, just as Noah had done to him before so that both of them were wearing just their underwear. Luke and Noah had never done this before; it was a completely new experience for both of them. Sure, Noah had that thing in Branson with Maddie, but that wasn’t anything like this. This was something different; both men were just relying on their instincts to take control and letting the passion rise up from inside them and fill the room. These boys were close before, but now as men they were getting to be closer than ever before.

Due to his over-powering size, Noah took the lead. After more kissing the boys were both ready. Luke was positioned on his back facing the ceiling and his Noah above him. Both of their boxers had been removed while they were kissing and now Noah was positioned ready to make his way into his love. Noah raised Luke’s legs up onto his shoulders so that he could look his lover’s eyes as he slowly pushed forward and inside. Noah could see a tinge of pain on his boyfriend’s pain, but after Luke reassured him that he was fine, he continued until he was completely inside his partner.

After allowing Luke to get used to Noah being inside him, Noah slowly pulled out and then pushed himself back inside. He gradually built up to a steady pace with which both he and Luke were happy with. The intensity between them rose, Luke was screaming, not from pain but from pleasure. Noah could feel his and Luke’s breathing almost in sync with one-another, almost in perfect unison. They had both finally found the closeness that they were looking for. The closeness they deserved after a year of fake marriages, break ups and Noah’s father. Luke and Noah both made sure they remembered every detail of this magical event, the smell, the sounds, the sights, it was defiantly not going to be forgotten in a hurry and at this point, nothing could ruin it.

Luke loved staring up into Noah’s eyes has he was pushing forward harder and harder. Every thrust he made was beautiful, but all though they both wanted it too, they knew it couldn’t last forever. Noah started getting faster, he was getting close, neither of them wanted it too end, but it was out of their control. Noah reached his climax, cueing Luke to do the same. They both came at the same time, the perfect unison for the perfect union. Noah gently pulled out of Luke and collapsed beside him. They didn’t want to move, but they had to get cleaned up in case someone came home, they couldn’t risk falling asleep and then Luke’s parents walking in on them, or worse Luke’s sisters.

Luke and Noah both got up and went into Luke’s en-suite. They got into the shower together; after all they had nothing left to hide from each other. They both stood there under the running water, feeling it dripping over their naked bodies, Luke helped Noah get cleaned up and Noah did the same for Luke. They were stood there kissing and washing under the shower, it was beautiful. When they had finished, they both dried off and then returned to Luke’s bed. This time they both lay, naked under the duvet and fell asleep in each other’s arms.
